Nickie is co-owner and founder of THRIVE HRK12 Solutions. Nickie has been committed to the human resources field for over 16 years, 9 of which have been in education. Nickie is known for her systems thinking approach as well as her relationship-oriented leadership style. Her service in the k-12 setting has allowed her to be in buildings, help mentor staff and administrators, build relationships and help streamline programs from an operations lens. All of her recommendations and work are focused around student achievement and experience.
Nickie has experience in coaching/mentoring and relationship building, systems analysis, job mapping, change management, onboarding and hiring/recruitment, employee relations, job description auditing, FTE and position control/management, collective bargaining, committee leadership, board and superintendent guidance, HR and systems training, process review and implementation, as well as creation of manuals and forms for staff and district leadership.
Nickie has a B.S. from William Woods University in Business Administration. She was initially certificated by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) for her Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR). This later evolved into her certification through the Society of Human Resources Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Nickie has also recently obtained in 2018, the newly released professional in Human Capital Leadership in Education certification (HCLE).
This certification was created to signify mastering the human resources standards within an educational capacity. Nickie is a member of AASPA, MOASPA and currently serves on the board for the Human Resources Association of Central Missouri. She also serves on the Board at Woodhaven in Columbia, MO, for individuals with disabilities.
